This compelling exhibition and presentation weaves together photography and science to highlight the wildlife\, landscapes\, and stories found across some of the country’s most iconic national parks. \nInspired by her upbringing near Great Smoky Mountains National Park\, Carnes has spent the past year traveling to parks including Yellowstone\, the Everglades\, Death Valley\, and Grand Teton\, documenting the ecosystems and species that make these places extraordinary. Her work bridges scientific research and visual storytelling\, aiming to deepen public understanding of biodiversity and inspire continued advocacy for protected lands. \nJoin us for a public lecture from 5:30-6:30 p.m.\, where Carnes will share insights from her travels and research\, followed by a gallery reception from 6:30–8 p.m. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nAccessibility\nUNC Asheville is committed to providing universal access to all of our events.
